| Because of changing demographics and the greater use of medical care by persons over age 65, medical practices should offer high levels of service to older patients. Issues that affect older patients in particular are access to care, the risk of falling, sensory decline, and sensitivity to care that preserves privacy, respects patient time, and responds to individual concerns.
