Physicians and their administrative executives are increasingly faced with difficult, high impact (if not irreversible) decisions about the pros and cons of a barrage of clinical integration options and associated models, each typically touted as…the model  physicians have been waiting for!

This hype implies that these models are new to healthcare delivery with little, if any, track record of success or failure to judge them.  In reality, most are just repackaged alternatives, some which worked and some that did not, from the 1990’s given new life via the clinical integration movement.  This 90-minute audio conference cuts through the rhetoric by presenting a no-nonsense overview of case studies of hits, misses, & consequences of three principal clinical integration models:

    * Independent physician ground-up pc/multispecialty group practice model;
    * Independent physician joint venture clinical integration model; and
    * Hospital/independent physician clinical integration partnership model.

Hear Kay Freeman and Mickey Ross review in detail these respective models:
  • Origin and structure
  • Antitrust and related regulatory issues
  • Tactics to minimize failure ratio
  • Model decision matrix
